Novaia Liustra （ノーヴァヤ・リューストラ）

2002年、岡山県山陽町において行われた『ニュータウン・アートタウン展』を期に結成されたユニット。同展では、高度経済成長期に造成されて３０年あまりたち、環境の一変した団地の一室にロシア製マイナスイオン発生器を持ち込み、居住空間における地理的・文化的違いを際立たせるインスタレーションを展開した。「ノーヴァヤ・リューストラ」とは、ロシア語で、「新しいシャンデリア」の意。メンバーは中野良寿（美術
家）、安原雅之（音楽学者）と横湯久美（美術家）。カフェ・リューストラやビストロ・リューストラのプロジェクト、テルミンを用いたライブなど、Novaia Liustraの活動は多岐にわたっている。

Novaia Liustra

The artists’ unit formed in 2002 on the occasion of the New Town-ArtTownExhibition which took place in Sanyo-cho, Okayama (Japan).
At the exhibition Novai a Liustra has presented the installation that emphasize the cultural and geogr aphical differences, using Russia air-ionizers in the vacant apartment, in the
space whose surrounding has radically changed in the last 30 years since it as built. Novaia Liustra means “new chandelier” in Russian. Along with Yoshihisa Nakano(artist), its member includes Masayuki Yasuhara (musicologist)and
Kumi Yokoyu (artist). Its activities vary and they include Cafe Liustra and Bistro Liustra project, and the live performance of noise music with Theremin.
